Jazz Classics: 1960s

Put this on during a rainy Sunday and the Wayne Shorter tracks alone were worth it — the remastering sounds warm without losing any of the horns' bite. Perfect background for cooking dinner, though I keep stopping to actually listen.

Bought this for a long drive and the Burt Bacharach selections were the highlight, smooth enough to keep on repeat without getting old. The track sequencing flows really well from start to finish.

The track selection here is genuinely thoughtful, especially the Wayne Shorter cuts mixed in with Burt Bacharach. I've had it on during dinners all month and it sets a perfect mood without ever feeling like background elevator jazz.
