Discover why Clandestine Amigo's Things Worth Remembering stands out as an audiophile recording, with practical guidance on getting the most from this high-fidelity album.
Quick answer
Things Worth Remembering by Clandestine Amigo is a limited-release audiophile album recorded at Octave Records, offering rich acoustic sound that rewards careful listening. It's a strong pick if you value singer-songwriter artistry and high-fidelity production.
Why the recording quality matters
Octave Records uses an all-analog chain and premium microphones, capturing detail and space that standard digital recordings often lose. On a revealing system, you'll hear subtle string textures, air around Jessica Carson's voice, and a natural sense of room depth.
Format considerations
The album is available in multiple formats, so your choice affects the listening experience. A high-resolution digital download preserves every bit of the master, while a CD gives you a physical reference. Consider what your system handles best and whether you value convenience or collectibility.
How to decide if this album fits your collection
- You value intimate acoustic performances: Clandestine Amigo's second album centers on vocals, acoustic guitar, and light instrumentation. If your listening habit includes artists like Joni Mitchell or Nick Drake, this will feel familiar.
- You want a reference-quality recording: Octave Records captures with analog precision, so this album can help you evaluate your system's imaging, tonal balance, and dynamic range. Use tracks with solo voice or acoustic guitar to test for clarity and air.
- You prefer upbeat or electronic genres: The album's tempo is mostly laid-back and reflective. If you need percussion-heavy or synth-driven music, this won't energize your playlist. Look for PS Audio's other releases if you need higher energy.
Product facts
