Love in the Moonlight: Opernfantasien für Violine & Klavier

I put this on during a rainy Sunday morning with coffee and ended up playing the whole album twice. The piano and violin balance on the La Boheme fantasy is gorgeous, and the intimate chamber feel makes these familiar opera melodies hit differently than the full orchestral versions.

I wasn't expecting an opera album to feel this intimate, but the violin really does sing like a solo voice over the piano. The La Bohème piece alone has been on repeat during my evening wind-downs.

The violin and piano arrangement of these opera melodies is gorgeous, especially the La Bohème piece which gave me chills on first listen. It's become my go-to album for quiet evenings with a glass of wine. The intimate chamber feel works beautifully.
