司教の隠れ家

This record captures the band’s energy perfectly—you can almost hear the studio air between the instruments. The live feel makes every track feel spontaneous, and the recording is so clear you’d think they’re playing in your living room.

The horns on the opener sound like they're right there in the room, and the bass holds everything down without getting muddy. I've played this through twice already and the energy never drops.

Put this on during a rainy Sunday and the horns just filled the whole room. The recording captures that live studio feel so well you can almost hear the players breathing between phrases. Easily the most upbeat jazz I've picked up this year.
