Audiophile Masters Volume IX

The jump from the classical guitar piece into the bluegrass track caught me off guard in the best way, and the dynamics hold up even on my cheaper speakers. Been spinning it most evenings this week.

I wasn't expecting the jazz tracks to sit so well next to the classical guitar pieces, but the sequencing makes the whole thing flow. The dynamics are genuinely wide here, quiet passages you lean into and then full sections that fill the room.

The bluegrass numbers on this one have a bite I didn't expect, and the switch into the quieter americana tracks feels completely natural. It's the kind of album where the dynamics actually mean something instead of just being loud for loud's sake.
