ソブリン・マインド

The horn arrangements on this are so warm they feel like an old friend talking to you. I had it on while cooking dinner and completely lost track of the stove. All-original jazz that actually goes somewhere instead of noodling around.

I put this on during a long drive home and lost track of the exits twice. The all-original compositions never lean on familiar standards, which kept me leaning in instead of drifting. That nostalgic undertow on the quieter tracks got me more than I expected.

The horn arrangements on this record hit way harder than I expected for an all-original jazz album. I put it on during a long drive and ended up sitting in my parked car just to finish the last two tracks.
