巴哈大提琴組曲

The two-channel mix on this recording is stunning — the cello sits right in the room with you, and you can hear the rosin and breath between phrases. I put it on late at night with the lights off and didn't move for two hours.

I've owned three recordings of these suites and this one finally made the cello feel like it's sitting a few feet away in the room. The two-channel version has this warm, woody resonance on the lower strings that I keep coming back to.

The two-channel mix sounds wonderfully natural, like the cellist is sitting a few feet away. I do wish the packaging had more notes on the recording sessions themselves, but the performance is gorgeous.
