I put this on and instantly felt that old-school Chicago funk energy, but with a twist that kept me guessing. The bass lines are thick and the whole record just grooves from start to finish.

The horns on this record hit like an old Chicago session but with a grit I didn't expect from a modern band. I've had it on repeat all week and the funk just keeps unfolding.

The bassline on the second track is so smooth it caught me off guard, and the whole thing has this old-school funk feel without sounding dated. I've had it on repeat during my commute all week.
