The woodwind textures on this DSD recording are stunning, especially the breathy flute passages that feel like the player is right in the room. I picked up details in the clarinet I'd never noticed on the CD version.

I've been collecting this series since the first volume and the DS capture on Woodwinds is easily the cleanest I've heard yet. The oboe and bassoon passages have this airy, room-filling quality that made me stop what I was doing just to listen.

The flute and clarinet on this one sound like they're in the room with you, especially on headphones. I've listened to the whole collection and this volume has the widest stereo spread yet.
